My Preferred FTS Model

The Field Trip Seminar as one of the subjects of a third-year level college student in the Institute of Computing has been always one of the most expensive subject. I have been preparing money together with my parents since I was in second year college level; I have been saving a lot of money. As I become a third year level, I enrolled the subjects together with my classmates and have joined the first meeting for the Field Trip Seminar last month of March 2015. It is a meeting about what the Field Trip Seminar is all about and the most important part is what type of Field Trip Seminar Model we should choose. We all have great dilemma on choosing what type of model must be due to the expenses that correspond to the type of model. There is the model A which states that we will have a two minor field trip here in Davao City, seminars and 1 major field trip in the city of Manila. The model type B states that there will be a minor field trip in Davao City and some seminars and major field trip outside the Mindanao. And the last type Model C states that all of the activities in the Field Trip Seminar will be held inside Davao City or in Mindanao. Honestly speaking, when I heard the details of model C, it comes to my mind that I may be best choose the model C because I know that there will be a less expenses on the activities. I also thought that the majority of the class will choose the model C because it will be cheaper and less stress to the parents. I want to choose model C by that time because I am considering the capability of my parents to spend money, we are not rich at the first place, and we are clearly poor. Choosing the model C will save a lot of money and the place where the activities will be held to accessible places because it is near. I talk to my mother about my decision and clarify things to her. She said that the model C is good for those who have not enough money, and added that this will fit to our money. So from that moment we have agreed to the type of model, but result of the votation of model does not coincide with our like. The result of the majority vote is the Model A. I was quite sad because in my mind I know that I and my family will have a hard time finding enough money to pay the expenses. Almost ninety percent of the participating third year college students choose the model A, it was quite annoying in my side so I asked them why? Some of them have simple answers, some say they just want to go to Manila to have some experiences and some said that they want to experience the thrill of the rides of the Enchanted Kingdom. So I have realized that they just want to have fun all along the Field trip seminar and not minding the cost or expenses of the trip. I don’t know, maybe they are rich so I can’t blame them at all because they can really pay. After all of those scenarios, I did not surrender, I let my parents know that the majority result of the votes are model A, and I must keep on going; I must go and enroll the subject. My parents have their own dilemma during that time, they have in their mind the option of not letting me enroll the subject but they have seen the determination in me so they let me in. A lot of things rush out in my mind on where to find money during that time. Thanks to God that he sends a sponsor to solve our financial problem and promise to shoulder the twenty one thousand. I am thankful for this blessing that has given to us by God. Model A is not an obstacle anymore for me and for my family also. In every meeting of the Field Trip Seminar, I always see to it that I am present so that I can know if there is any changes or any updates about the Field Trip. One of the meetings wherein our facilitator Mr. Gamboa attends, I am glad that he made a lot of clarifications and information. He made an explanation about what are we going to do if we choose the model A and what are the things that we will benefit if we choose the model A. What triggers me to prefer the model A is the activities that we will do there. There will be a lot of opportunities there that might change our lives forever. There will be a chance there to introduce our personal ideas or products and become a technopreneurs. I have realized that choosing model A and coming to the city of Manila will have no regrets. It is time for me to explore new things. I have realized that choosing the model C of the field trip seminar will not help me to build up my knowledge about my course and will not give me a chance to see how things happen inside the world of business. My perspective of the model A has change into good and I am excited now to go to the field trip seminar. I am excited to visit a lot of companies wherein I can learn a lot and compare how the Manila City runs compare here in our beloved city of Davao. I am excited to what Mr. Gamboa said that we will experience to present pitching in front of the professionals and successful business men. It will be a challenge for me to do more during the Field Trip Seminar. This is the story why I preferred the model A of the field trip seminar and I love it.
